Generous Ministry
The Creek cares for those in our community who are experiencing trouble securing the necessities of life – including food, shelter, and utilities.
All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had……that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.
Acts 4:32, 34-35
The Bible teaches us to respect, and honor God's money. This creates the financial freedom that allows us to be generous to those around us in need. At The Creek, we strive to be good managers of what God has given us.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
I Peter 4:10
God has given every person individual skills and desires that He wants to use to give us a full, purposeful life. Financial help is only part of the equation that will lead to the abundant life that God promises. In addition to financial assistance, we desire to help people discover their gifts and fulfill their God-given purposes.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10
